John P. Leonard, M.D., is the Richard T. Silver Distinguished Professor of Hematology and Medical Oncology and Senior Associate Dean for Innovation and Initiatives at Weill Cornell Medicine. He is Executive Vice Chairman of the Weill Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where he also serves as Attending Physician. An expert in hematology and oncology, Dr. Leonard’s research has been published in numerous medical journals, and he has served as a member of the editorial boards of leading international journals in these fields. He is currently Chair of the Lymphoma Committee of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology (formerly CALGB, ACOSOG and NCCTG), a multicenter cooperative group and key component of the National Cancer Institute’s National Clinical Trials Network. Dr. Leonard’s primary research interest is in the development of novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of lymphoma and related hematologic malignancies. Much of his work has involved the development of novel therapies for lymphoma, including monoclonal antibodies, other immune-based treatments, targeted agents and other innovative approaches. He also has studied prognostic, imaging and survivorship issues for lymphoma patients.

Jennifer Amengual, MD, is the Herbert Irving Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Amengual is a translational physician-scientist dedicated to the treatment of patients with lymphoma. Her laboratory interests are centered on therapeutic targeting of epigenetic derangements in lymphoma.

Tycel J. Phillips, MD

Tycel J. Phillips, MD, is a clinical investigator at the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center who specializes in the treatment of patients with malignant lymphoma. Dr. Phillips’ main clinical focus is the investigation of novel therapeutic targets in patients with lymphoma through the study of the mechanism of action, safety, and efficacy of these drugs in early phase clinical studies. He has been the principal investigator of numerous clinical studies that evaluated several novel therapies and combinations in patients with malignant lymphoma.

Gilles Salles, MD, PhD

Gilles Salles, MD, PhD, is Chief of the Lymphoma Service at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. He has previously held a position of professor of hematology and medicine at the University of Lyon, and head of the Department of Hematology at the Hospices Civils de Lyon, Centre Hospitalier Lyon-Sud, in Pierre-Bénite, France. Dr. Salles has previously chaired the Lymphoma Study Association, a European cooperative group. He is also a member of several international societies, including the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

During his career, Dr. Salles has been especially interested in the clinical and biological study of lymphoma. The primary focus of his work is on the description and validation of prognostic factors and clinical trials in indolent lymphomas. Dr. Salles has been involved in the investigation and development of new therapeutic agents, such as several targeted therapies, new monoclonal antibodies, and other immunotherapies in the field. He has led large international studies that evaluated treatment options in patients with follicular lymphoma. Dr. Salles is the author of more than 500 publications, including articles in a number of leading international peer-reviewed journals.
